Worst night ever

Have you ever been to a party and as soon as the most climactic part of the night approaches, your camera battery runs out of juice?

This happened to me last night and I wanted to just end myself.  It is so depressing that at the height of the most epic night of my life my Sony Camera Batteries just decided not to work anymore.  I mean how could this happen to me?  I am always diligent about charging them, but this time I was just taking so many pictures that it burned a hole right though these seemly good batteries.  They aren’t the batteries you could just buy in the store either.  They are the sony cybershot batteries that you can only get from online.  I didn’t even have my sony cybershot battery charger that would have been handy just so I could get one more shot for the night.  So let me explain what ended up happening the rest of the night just so one day I can come back to my blog and read about it and try to imagine what happened since I’ll never be able to see a picture ever again.  My buddy jumped head first from a third story building into a pool and somehow make it out with only a busted lip.  What a boss.

Scavengers

Posted by Gaylord Campbell

Las Vegas was hit hard by the recession, and my neighborhood is full of foreclosed homes. I worry about so many of the homes being empty. Some of them have been looted for appliances or property left behind when the families moved out. I know these people case our neighborhood all the time, and I worry that once all of the foreclosed homes are bare, they will start to target the rest of us. I don’t plan on going anywhere, and my house has some very valuable things inside that I would hate to lose. I also wouldn’t ever be able to replace some of the things that have sentimental value to us. I knew I had to do something to make me feel more secure, so I searched Las Vegas Home Security to try and find a good deal on a home alarm. Times are tough, but I knew I had to spring for an alarm so that I could relax a little bit. Hopefully these scavengers will go away soon, but as long as they are around, I need an alarm.

How does not everyone in the world have a vessel sink?

Have you ever been to those fancy restaurants and see those really exotic looking crazy sinks that make you just have the extra smile on your face while washing your hands?

I was recently at Stone Brewery, that really cool brewery in San Diego home of all those great micro brews that make any beer drinker just smile.  They have one of the best restaurant layouts I’ve ever seen and their bathrooms all have vessel sinks.  If you have never seen a vessel sink you have been missing out.  When accompanied by a vessel faucet, it adds that great touch to anyone’s bathroom.  They are huge bowls so that it makes spills a think of the past and you can get them in any shape and color…you just can’t go wrong with it.  Especially when you put the right vessel sink faucets to accompany the bowl, it just makes life complete.  I have a faucet that acts like a waterfall.  When I put it in for my girlfriend she got so happy that she made my night.  I’m telling you men, get out there and upgrade your life because even if you don’t have a girlfriend, you eventually will have someone use your bathroom and you want them to think you are well off.

Job growth surges, jobless rate near 3-year low (Reuters)

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The economy created jobs at the fastest pace in nine months in January and the unemployment rate unexpectedly dropped to a near three-year low, giving a boost to President Barack Obama as campaigning heats up ahead of November elections.

Nonfarm payrolls jumped 243,000, the Labor Department said on Friday, as factory jobs grew by the most in a year. The jobless rate fell to 8.3 percent – the lowest since February 2009 – from 8.5 percent in December.

The gain in employment was the largest since April and it far outstripped the 150,000 predicted in a Reuters poll of economists. It could lessen the likelihood of further action from the Federal Reserve to spur a stronger recovery.

“If six months ago, (I) told you the unemployment rate was going to be 8.3 percent when all those vampire economists…were telling us the economy was about to die again…you’d have told me I was a crackpot,” Stuart Hoffman, chief economist at PNC Financial Services in Pittsburgh, told Reuters Insider.

The payroll gains were widespread – from retail to temporary help, and from construction to manufacturing.

A survey of households showed the unemployment rate declined even as new job seekers flooded into the labor force. Economists had expected the jobless rate, which has now fallen 0.8 percentgage point since August, to hold steady.

“The report was much better than expected in terms of indicating fundamental strength in the economy,” said Pierre Ellis, senior economist at Decision Economics in New York.

U.S. stocks opened higher on the report, while U.S. Treasury debt prices fell sharply. The dollar rose against the yen.

The report contrasted with a fairly glum assessment of the economy offered by the Fed last week.

Officials at the U.S. central bank have been debating whether to buy more bonds – a program dubbed QE3 – to drive interest rates lower. After a policy meeting last week, they said they would likely hold overnight interest rates near zero at least through late 2014.

“This is the kind of data that will challenge the Fed’s wisdom of putting a late 2014 date on prospective tightening,” said Alan Ruskin, head of G10 currency strategy at Deutsche Bank in New York. “The data plays strongly against QE3, although the Fed will surely keep it in the wings.”

REVISIONS ALSO SHOW STRENGTH

The tenor of the report was strengthened by revisions to November and December data, which showed 60,000 more jobs were created during those months than previously reported.

In addition, average hourly earnings rose four cents, which should help to support spending. The report suggested that expectations of a slowdown in U.S. economic growth in the first quarter were not yet impacting on companies’ hiring decisions.

Employment in the private sector surged 257,000 – the largest gain since April. Government payrolls fell 14,000, the least since September.

U.S. economic growth quickened to a 2.8 percent annual rate in the final three months of 2011, but it was widely expected to slow as businesses ease back on efforts to rebuild inventories and exports slip amid a likely recession in Europe.

Some economists cautioned that January’s jobs figures could overstate the pulse of the recovery.

“Consumer confidence, income and spending remain lackluster,” said Kathy Bostjancic, director of macroeconomic analysis at the Conference Board in New York. “For this to mark an upturn in the labor market, then businesses will have to continue to hire on this scale throughout the winter.”

While employment growth has quickened there are no jobs for three out of every four unemployed people and 19.3 million Americans are either out of work or underemployed.

Still, there are signs the economy continues to enjoy decent momentum.

A separate report on Friday showed service sector activity quickened last month to a near one-year high, auto sales have been buoyant, factory activity strong and new claims for jobless benefits have been trending lower.

CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM

The unemployment rate has now declined for five straight months, partly because of unemployed workers giving up the hunt for a job but also because people are finding work.

A broad measure of unemployment, which includes people who want to work but have stopped looking and those working only part time but who want more work, slipped to 15.1 percent in January from 15.2 percent in December.

Annual revisions to the payrolls figure showed job growth had been stronger than previously believed in the year through last March, and the March payroll level was revised up by 165,000.

Mild winter weather boosted employment last month in construction, which added 21,000 jobs after a 31,000 increase in December. Manufacturing payrolls surged 50,000, the largest gain in a year, after rising 32,000 the prior month.

Overall, the goods-producing sector added 81,000 jobs last month, the most since January 2006.

Transportation and warehousing employment increased 13,100 and courier jobs only fell 1,500. Last month, the Labor Department reported a large increase in courier jobs in December, but revisions showed they actually declined.

Retail employment rose 10,500 after gaining 6,200 in December. Temporary help services jumped 20,100 after rising 8,300, a potentially good sign for future permanent hiring.

I just can’t take Obamacare

I just don’t have it in me as a Republicrat to take Obamacare to heart so I need to find crazier alternatives to getting the fulfillment of my needs

That’s why I turned to Canada drugs instead of the crazy over priced American drugs that our big pharma people are shoving down out throats.  You need to fix your ED because you eat too much crap and don’t exercise?  We have a pill for that.  You are too fat because you have self control problems and no one likes you??  There’s a pill that won’t let your body absorb fat so don’t even think about eating that burrito because you will have the runs for days.  America just isn’t doing it right, we need to take a look at the Canadian pharmacy method because they are like America on light.  Canada pharmacy just doesn’t have the litigation’s and regulations that we do in the states and the people notice the difference.  I’m not sure about how everything works over there because I’ve never been but to be honest it can’t be worse that what Obamacare is.  I’m just feeling this because I watch only Fox news and they tell me to think this all of the time.  Oh well, guess I’m going to Canada if Obama get’s re-elected.  What up Maple Leafs!

I just can’t help how much I love displays

Can you believe that today you can have for so cheap the best pop up displays of all time?!

That’s what I thought when I first stumbled upon them online.  These pop up displays that they sell are the most amazing inventions this side of the Mississippi.  I mean come on when I go to trade shows I always see trade show pop up displays…maybe it’s because I’m at a trade show but that’s besides the point.  They are simply stunning so that’s why know at my own home i have a few pop up trade show displays that I took, or lets say borrowed, from the actual convention and they now line my room.  They are simply beautiful and are the best priced decorations I’ve ever come across.  So the next thing I wanted to procure for my living arrangement where a few pop up booths.  These are great when you have kids because they are like little mini forts that you can play hide and seek with.  I also am a big cat guy and they love their won pop up booths because they use them as climbing tools.  Cats are better than dogs because I really think they are smarter and make less mess.  Anyways get yourself some displays.

Come and enjoy with me

Sometimes you may be in an area that you are not familiar with on business or something and need to get someone to escort you around…

So I work for this huge air industry company who has a plant based out of Toronto so I have to frequently go up there and show them how to build their parts that we design but they fabricate.  When I’m there it usually is for longer than a week and I get bored just doing the same things over and over again.  So a friend who also works there recommended I check out a Toronto Escorts agency who could pair me up with a lovely lady that would show me the signs and sounds of the beautiful city.  When I first met her her name was Heather and she was the sweetest person I’ve ever met.  She showed me around and we had the most wonderful time.  We became good friends and now every time I’m in Toronto I hit her up and we catch up on lost time and such.  Toronto Escorts are the best when it comes to friendliness and down right awesomeness and I highly recommend that if you are in the area and are bored because you are on business that you check them out.

I just busted up laughing

How many people think they are efficient in life but realize that there is way more to life than just living…we all need some bulletin boards to show us how crazy our lives are

I was in college and a friend of mine told me that I needed to be more productive.  I wish I had met this guy earlier because he put up a few enclosed bulletin boards around my room and put in it goals that I needed to hit before the end of each quarter.  The first one was to get ladies…got them.  Then in the other enclosed cork bulletin boards he put other goals like get good grades…got them.  and finally on the few enclosed fabric bulletin boards the shit hit the fan and the goal was for me to start my own business…almost did it.

Now that I’m older the last goal is still relevant to my life and I’m putting in the hard work necessary for myself to get out there and make my mark on the world.  I really just want to have a lot of fun and start businesses and have other people run them while I enjoy the fruits of my creativity.  I need a method of being more creative in my opinion…doing that.
